While Croatia is building the NSCP, several EU member states are already at an advanced stage of implementing the eFTI system. Their experiences—successes, challenges, and lessons—are an invaluable resource that the NSCP project team is actively using to shape a homegrown approach to the digital transformation of freight transportation.
## Pioneers of eFTI implementation in the EU Among the first member states to go beyond the minimum legal requirements are the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Their national systems already actively exchange data with certified eFTI platforms, and inspection bodies use digital tools on a daily basis to verify transport information at road checkpoints. Joint assessment: 60-75% reduction in verification time compared to paper-based procedures. ## What Croatia can learn Analiza europskih iskustava ukazuje na nekoliko ključnih čimbenika uspjeha: rana uključenost svih dionika (prijevoznici, pružatelji platformi, nadležna tijela), sustavna edukacija korisnika i postupno uvođenje sustava po fazama. NSCP projektni tim primijenio je ove pouke u planiranju vlastite implementacije, s posebnim naglaskom na komunikaciju sa zainteresiranim skupinama i postupno širenje baze korisnika.
