Interoperability is one of the fundamental principles of NSCP. The system is designed so that it communicates without obstacles with all certified eFTI platforms and access systems of the competent authorities in the member states of the European Union, ensuring smooth cross-border exchange of cargo transportation data.
The eFTI system only works if all national systems are interoperable with each other — the NSCP was designed with this goal in mind from the start, with stricter requirements that go beyond minimum European standards.
## How NSCP communicates with EU systems
NSCP implements standardized API interfaces and data exchange protocols defined by the eFTI Regulation and accompanying implementing acts. This means that a certified eFTI platform registered in any EU member state can exchange data with the NSCP, and Croatian competent authorities can access this data through the access point (AAP — Authorized Authority Portal) without any technical barriers.
## Authority Access Point (AAP)
A key element of the NSCP architecture is the Authority Access Point (AAP), through which inspection, customs and other authorities access electronic information on cargo transportation. AAP is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, and data is protected according to the highest standards of information security. With the implementation of AAP, Croatia becomes a full participant in the European digital transport ecosystem.
