The European Regulation on Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) brings concrete benefits to all economic entities participating in the transport chain: logistics companies, carriers, senders and receivers. By applying eFTI regulations, the administrative burden is significantly reduced, and the efficiency of business processes increases.

Estimates show that each carrier spends an average of 13-17% of operating costs on administrative duties related to transport documentation. eFTI platforms can reduce that cost by more than half.

## Less paperwork, more efficiency With the introduction of certified eFTI platforms, carriers are no longer burdened by the creation, printing and storage of paper transport documents. All relevant data — from cargo manifests to vehicle and driver information — is available in digital form, accessible in real time to authorities at road checkpoints. This means faster checks, less downtime and less risk of fines due to lack of documentation. ## Steps towards eFTI certification Economic entities wishing to use the eFTI system must choose a certified eFTI platform — a software solution that meets the technical and security requirements prescribed by the Regulation. NSCP, as a national access infrastructure, ensures that certified eFTI platforms can exchange data with Croatian competent authorities, thus closing the loop of the digital transport ecosystem.
